Alternative Giving Fair
On Sunday, Dec. 4, the Calvary Outreach Committee hosted an Alternative Giving Fair in the Parish Hall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This was a chance to honor the special people in your lives with meaningful gifts this Christmas. Parishioners made donations that benefited any of several wonderful organizations, including the local Food Pantry, Family Crisis Center, and Child Advocacy Center, the Calvary Episcopal School Scholarship Fund, and Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD), and received a certificate that was beautifully wrapped and addressed for them at the Fair. Representatives from each of these organizations were on hand to distribute literature and answer questions. All funds spent at the fair went directly to the designated groups and were tax-deductible. For each donation made, each contributor received a certificate. This was a great experience for the whole family, with special giving opportunities for children. Many thanks to Julie Collins and the Calvary Outreach Committee for this beautiful program. Also a big thank you to the Men's Guild for supplying a delicious assortment of cookies.
